Professional Development Assessment of Tracy Potamitis

I have thought for a longtime exactly what career I wanted for myself, I have gone in many different directions from direct care to insurance billing, and now getting my degree to go in a totally different direction. Well here I am in search of the Ultimate Career, and I come across the perfect career for me.

My current ultimate career is as a Medical and Health Services Manager/ Health Care Administrator. This job will give me all the variety I want, I will have a the independent work I need as well as supervising a team of people, I will be working in a lot of different areas in the business office, and will get experience in just about everything. The organization or setting that is best for me is really either for-profit, or non-profit hospital or medical office. I have no preference to size, rural or urban, I am comfortably in acute or managed care, and I like to work either Clinical and Business office settings.

I need to be with management principals and practices, I will need a Masters Degree in Health Services Administration or Business Administration. I can get an entry level administration job with my bachelors degree, and that is a great start while I continue on to get my Masters degree, and this way as I get closer to finishing I will also have been getting promotions, and learning while doing at the same time learning in school. I also must pass a licensing examination for the State of Connecticut. I must be open to the opinions of others, and be good at analyzing contradictory information.
