Subject: The change of Distribution model

Issue: As you know, the changes of distribution model have been discussed about many times. I have analyzed the work done thus and would like to propose the following as our new Problem Statement for this requirement.

“3M Canada must to find the best overall solution to match about sales strategy that to offer premium products and the optimizing costs, technology, process efficiency and customer support capability in the supply chain service."

We considered various other options to conclude this assignment, as follows:

* Stay in the current model

* Hiring an external Consultant

* Cross functional meeting to discuss the feasibility of changes

*Change the current model to direct model

Although these were viable, we feel that change to direct model will provide the best strategic solution for 3M Canada, while also achieving a much better long-term solution.

We would require at least 2 year for this process, while keeping the current model in the short term ,to ensure ongoing operations for the interim. Some consulting and additional training will also be needed to guarantee full success in this project. The added costs will be easily covered by the greater benefits expected from the concluding result. Details are in the attached report.

I look forward to receiving your approval of this recommendation, so that it can proceed immediately.

Respectfully,
