I think that the U.S. population will start to look less sharply diverse, and more of a blended diversity. I think that the races will start to blend, but that religions will still fight for followers. Culture lines will continue to be blurred as the numbers of new births that are born to parents of different cultures continues to rise.

According to "One-In-Seven New U.S. Marriages Is Interracial Or Interethnic” (2013), the U.S. rate of newly wedded interracial marriages has more than doubled between 1980 and 2008, from 6.7% to 14.6%. The large growth can be seen mostly in the white and black races. Where the rates doubled amongst whites that have sought a spouse of another race, it has tripled amongst blacks who have married a spouse outside of their own race. 14.6% is a statistic that shows that one in seven marriages is an interracial marriage. Given the statistic that there is now 14.6% of the population that cannot claim a singular racial background, it can be assumed that if all of the marriages were to have 2 children, close to the national average of 2.06 children per women ("Total Fertility Rate (Children Born Per Woman)", 2013), along with the concept of zero population growth ("Zero Population", n.d.)., then those parents have exchanged two people of individual race (themselves) and replaced them with two people of mixed race (the children). If the country were to start as a 0% mixed race society in 1980, it is safe to say that as of 2008, that 1 in 7 people in the U.S. are of mixed race. If we can continue to grow at such a rate, and maintain zero population, then we could be at a point where 30% of the society is mixed race which would mean that almost 1 in 3 people would be the children of an interracial marriage in 50 years. This will have to change the way the census is taken. If you are white and black, how can you check either? If you are neither black nor Asian,...
