Analysis of Comparative HRM Professional Practices

Overview: Human Resources Management is the strategic management of the employees, who individually and collectively contribute to the achievement of the strategic objectives of the organization.

To achieve HR goals, HRM helps in recruitment of human capital, training, motivation and maintenance of workforce .HR plays a significant role in clarifying the organization’s problems and providing solutions, while making employees working more efficiently. On the other hand, challenges do not cease for the HRM. Modern organizations can survive in the dynamic, competitive environment of today only if they capitalize on the full potential of each employee. So this assignment will give you the opportunity of learning MNCs’ HRM practices.

Learning Objectives

After completing this project, you will be able to:

1. Explore comparative study and determine which company has more structured HR function.

2. Describe HRM responsibilities and activities of HRM professionals and challenges faced by competing companies in HRM domains. How both companies are meeting those challenges.

3. Analyze and evaluate the existing HR systems, point out the lacunas and conceptually recommend the remedies for the grey area in the HR systems of both companies.

Procedure

Step 1. In this assignment you will be conveying your own ideas for HR tools. However it is important that you base your decision on literature in this field. In addition to your study packs and other HRM text books, you should have references from at least one HR journal and at least one of practicing HR professional of any well reputed company with whom you will conduct a detailed interview.

Step 2: Consider HRM practice following dimensions and for each dimension describe the managers’ role and activities being performed in your chosen company.
