Implementing a Small Network vLab (15 points)

Write a paragraph (minimum five college-level sentences) below that summarizes what was accomplished in this lab, what you learned by performing it, how it relates to this week’s TCOs and other course material, and just as important, how you feel it will benefit you in your academic and professional career. (3 points)

During this week’s iLab we successfully completed the tasks needed to configure the cisco devices “SW1”, “C”, and “R1”. On SW1 we configured the different interfaces to allow connectivity between R1 and the other switches. On switch C we configured the different interfaces, so they will operate in full duplex mode and a speed of 100. We used R1 to test the connectivity throughout the network by using the PING command and the SHOW CDP NEIGHBOR command. This week’s iLab relates to the TCOs and other course material, because it covers different switchport commands like trunking and encapsulations. I feel that this will benefit me in my academic and profession career, because it has taught me to configure various interfaces on cisco switches with port security.
