For my project I took an interview from Julia Sivashova who is head of front office in Amarant Hotel. Julia graduated from National Taras Shevchenko University in 2004. She has a master degree in economic science with a specialization of foreign trade management, fluently speaking Russian, Ukrainian and English languages, and has a basic knowledge’s of German and Spanish languages. This is her third year of working in this company. She started her carrier as a receptionist in the front office desk in 2010, she was one of the first team members that time and she was present while hotel growth and development. With a great job performance and job evaluation within two years was promoted to a position of head of front office.
Julia kindly answers the entire questions of mine and following information was obtained: Amarant is operating since June 2012 in Kiev, Ukraine with 46 rooms. This is the third and a newest hotel in the chain which for right now owns and operates three hotels, two in Kiev and one in Bila Cerkva. Amarant Hotel Kiev is new, modern hotel located very close to historical and business centers of Kiev. In near past Amarant Hotel and other two hotels joined Premier International LTD and started to be a member of Compass Hotel chain. Joining to the Compass Hotels chain changed missions and visions of Amarant Hotel right now their vision is to create and unite European hotel chain of economy–class hotels under a single brand for providing comfortable and affordable accommodation.
The example of a short term goals provided by Julia was to increase occupancy rate of the hotel on 10 % from 55% till the end of the year 2012.Tactics used to reach the goals are joining to Compass Hotel chain and creating good network with travel agencies and business organizations.
