1. Needs assessment: What types of issues might indicate a need for training? From what sources would these issues be identified? If you were a training manager, how would you prioritize training needs from these sources?

The types of issues that might indicate a need for training would be employees conflicting with each other, new inventory or products, how-to shops, and inventory purposes are a few to name. The sources could be management, customers, other associates, owners, and board members. I would prioritize the needs by conducting certain analysis like organization analysis, task analysis, and person analysis. I would ask customer to participate in surveys that would tell us how their experience was, the customer service, meeting their needs and expectations, and what we could improve or change to make it better.

a. A supervisor requests training on the specialized technology required by five of his employees.

b. The customer service manager reports a sudden increase in calls about poor handling of repeat complaint calls.

c. The CEO requests team efficiency training to address the declining numbers of employees attending quarterly pep rallies.

From the sources listed below, I would prioritize A as the important one because if they employees does not know how to work the specialized technology then they would not be any use to the company. Then I would make C the second priority because the team is not any help if they cannot work together and support each other and the company. Then I would address B because if one person is handling the complaint calls, then there might be a reason why they have fell behind or is giving poor service.

2. Delivery: Identify the best method to conduct this training. Is a certification exam required? Will the training be instructor-led, self-paced, or a combination? Explain your answer.
