Seven Environmental Issues
Complete the following chart by identifying seven environmental issues that affect global health. In the second column, describe in complete sentences how the issue affects global health.

How does the issue affect global health?
1.Transportation--Too many vehicles on the road
The air pollution is affected as toxic gases from vehicles get in the air, affecting global health. Regulations are slowly cleaning the air as vehicles must pass more strict smog checks to ensure that less toxins enter the air.
2.Consumption of Energy
Excessive use of energy in one part of the world tends to deplete accessibility in another part at the same time.
3.Consumption of water
Unsafe practices in water consumption can lead to contamination with human waste and chemicals which is dangerous to health. There is far too many areas around the world have unsafe drinking water. Clean water needs to be provided to those in need, to make sure the children are healthy.
4.Global Warming
Climatic changes that affect personal health and also give rise to flooding or droughts. Over the last decades, we have seen record breaking hurricanes, tornadoes and earthquakes. Global warming is one of the greatest concerns for the survival of our planet. The oceans are getting warmer, which can lead to horrific natural disasters.
5. Cutting down trees
Our trees give us oxygen as well as natural beauty. Cutting down tree causes to global warming and ozone layer disruptions, as well. Many species feed off of our trees, and with so many being cut down, we are literally killing them.
6. Waste disposal/ Waste Landfills
The contamination of roadways, land pollution, and water contamination is created when excreta and garbage is dumped in these places. The smell coming from these landfills can be dangerous to our health.
