Introduction

In 1976 Albatross was opened by a few family members. However over the years Albatross has grown to employ over one hundred employees. The company has one location which sits on twelve acres of land located in a rural suburb in the United States. The company has not done much to the company as far as adding new technologies over the years and has just made adjustments to equipment they already own so that new products could be incorporated. Albatross manufactures two different types of anchors which are the bell anchor and the snag hook anchor. Each anchor requires its own equipment which is used to make the anchors. In this paper the writer will discuss the operational issues that pertain to job retention, employee morale, and employee dedication. Albatross anchors have many challenges that they will be facing. There are many areas where the company fails to be competitive in the market place. The company also has many areas in which they are in danger of potential legal action with the government.
