Description of Assignment

You are to select a relationship you have with ONE other person (anyone you would like; family, significant other, friend) and write a 5-8 page (typed 12 point-font, double spaced, numbered, with title and cover page/the cover page is NOT part of the 5-8 pages) reflection paper on that relationship. This is a formal paper and should be written/communicated in a professional, concise and organized manner. This paper should include an introduction, body and conclusion. (Please proofread your paper for grammar, spelling, punctuation, organization etc.)

Included in your paper should be the following:

1. Brief history of the relationship (who is the person you chose, how do you know this person, when did your relationship begin and why did you select this person/relationship for reflection?). This should be no longer than 1-2 paragraphs.

2. Based on Mark Knapp's Relational Maintenance Model (p. 287/text), please discuss and identify each of the applicable stages in your relationship. Provide specific examples to illustrate each stage.
