Analyze strengths and weaknesses of the 4 remaining candidates and propose two candidates to whom would you offer an employment if you were a SG Cowen banker.

Natalya Godlewska is first hiring candidate from eastern European university where she graduated in finance. Her strengths are beside highest GDA also speaking many languages. She is well experienced with working and developing M&A modeling software. One of Natalya supervisors praises her as a determined, ambitious and hard-working but another one expressed strong reservations. Those weaknesses are that she doesn’t speak English fluently and this could cause some uncomfortable while working with customers or among co-workers. Due to her origin and knowledge of English, she could face a problem of fitting into company’s culture and problem of being a stiff person.

Martin Street was in second-year of Wharton MBA and his strengths are that he has some leadership experiences and articulation skills. He has a dynamic and confident personality and he achieved two marathons and one triathlon. Weaknesses are lack of any business related experiences and he doesn’t like speak about his grades. He was always involved in other recruitment processes at other firms and that make him less reliable.

Ken Goldstein has five-year work experiences at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC). Everyone who interviewed Ken praise him. Only weaknesses that Ken has are his two little kids. At SG Cowen are afraid about his intention to be able to balance a family with being a banker. He showed his positive personality, but less willingness to work 24/7 could be one of the weaknesses.
