CHAPTER 1.1

Background

These days, foreign exchange markets or forex have been one of the most important in terms of the economy in the whole world. They can affect on many aspects everything around us, such as imports and exports, output and employment and other things that relates to the term of economics.

Therefore, because of this basic background and the news I see every day, it has become one of the main idea for me to write this paper about. This would be very interesting for me to write because it would be a great opportunity for me to dig more into this specific topic especially for one of my course on campus: International Accounting. There are many subtopics that I can pick out right away from the text book of International Accounting; however the term Foreign Exchange Market is the one that lights away through my mind so I become eager to write this paper. The news everyday always tickles my mind what this Forex is all about since people seem to be so interested how is the forex condition from time to time.

And for the current issue that I am going to focus mainly is on the foreign exchange market on the effect of East Asia Pacific financial crisis that started hit from Thailand. And in which is then spread out throughout the neighborhood countries, such as Indonesia, Hong Kong, Philippines, Laos, Malaysia and South Korea.

CHAPTER 1.2

HYPOTHESIS

In terms of the hypothesis or what will be looking for throughout this whole research of Forex, it will be the effects on the East Asia Market and also the solutions or the recommendations for the countries to avoid such financial crisis for future reference.
