Tropic: Outsourcing

General Purpose: To Persuade

Specific Purpose: To convince my audience to take advantage of outsourcing

Thesis: Outsourcing helps stabilize inflation and increase profitability for entrepreneurs in America

Introduction

I. Imagine when you go shopping at the store and you found the item you want but the price of that item you want to buy is more than triple the price you saw it last time

b. I want to explain the benefits of outsourcing

c. Hopefully get entrepreneurs like yourself to take advantage of outsourcing and increase your chances of being wealthy.

II. Outsourcing is a practice used by different companies transferring portions of work to outside suppliers mainly to China in order to reduce the cost of production.

III. According to the public agenda archives, 7 out of 10 American say that outsourcing is bad for the economy.

IV. I believe that if we get rid of outsourcing, the economy would be much worse off.

V. Not just to the business but also to the consumer as well.

VI. America demand many things, freedom, democracy, oil, and cheap consumer goods.

d. According to industry week.com (online news source about industry around the world), We demanded a record high of $2.1 trillion worth of consumer goods in 2012

e. It’s impossible to meet our demand and at the same time reduce price of the goods to be affordable for the consumers without the help of outsourcing

VII. Let say that if you own a company, let’s compare if you want to have a manufacturing plant in America or in China

f. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average wage for Chinese worker is $1.36 per hour compared to $23.23 per hour for American worker.
