A number of problems were made during the recent hiring process. There should always be processes in place in a company. Most companies have a standard operations plan that guides you step by step to complete a task or process. These processes are in place to ensure that the company is run most efficiently. Oftentimes there are teams in place who specifically focus on this issue. When there is not a process in place then a need has arisen for it to be created. In order for it to come full circle effective communication is needed. Communication can be the key to solve many problems and to avoid them as well. The case study describes the ABC Inc. company and the issues regarding employment recruitment and efforts surrounding it. The case is based on the overzealous employee who did not take pertinent steps into consideration when planning his recruitment. Improper planning, lack of adequate training and poor organizational skills at the workplace can have its serious repercussions.

Background

In early April Carl Robins was hired as a staff recruiter with ABC Inc., despite his lack of experience.   Within six months on the job, he was quick to hire fifteen new employees for Monica Carroll, the operations supervisor.   On May 15, Monica contacted Carl to touch base regarding the coordination of the schedule, for the new trainees.   He proceeds to ensure her that everything would be arranged in time.   Carl scheduled a new hire orientation to take place on June 15, in hopes that all new hires would be working by July.
