CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION
As artists in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and technology, it is quite disheartening to be involved in the tedious work of carrying a portfolio, a bag and a drawing board to class almost always. There are times when students need to go about their daily activities briskly but find themselves locked up among the three items mentioned above. Sometimes also, students forget to pick important items needed or even find the load exhausting and therefore the need to cut them to size.
This research aims at coming up with a multipurpose portfolio which will at least eliminate the task of having to carry a bag and drawing board in addition to the current portfolios in use. The new portfolio also has the ability to withstand some harsh weather conditions due to the material used for production.

* Multi-purpose means having multiple uses. For example, our multi-purpose portfolio has three uses. The uses are:
1. Used for storage of papers, photographs, drawings, pencils, colours, etc.
2. Our portfolio also has an in-built drawing board compartment...
