Answer the following four bullet points. Write 150- to 200-word responses to each of the following:

• How is the word myth used popularly? For example, what does the statement, “It’s a myth” mean? In contrast, how is the word myth used in the academic context? After considering the definition in your textbooks and course materials, write a definition in your own words.

When a person uses the word myth it is also known as a Legend. The only differences with myths are stories about Greek Gods. Additionally, Legend is stories about heroes or fabricated stories of people doing great many difficult tasks.

• What is your favorite myth and why?

My favorite mythological word is Aphrodite. Moreover Aphrodite is a beautiful Goddess with the powers of love, pleasure, and beauty. Additionally, while Aphrodite has the power of love; she cannot make people fall in love however she can increase or decrease the feelings between two people.

• What movies or TV shows are mythological in nature? Name four such TV shows or movies and explain how they are about mythology.

My favorite mythological movies and TV shows are 300, Clash of titans, Peirce Jackson, Zena the Princes Warrior, and Hercules. Moreover, I enjoyed these movies and TV shows as a kid. The TV show Hercules and Zena were my top Myth shows. Additionally, another myth TV show I was interested is the Highlander.

• How are myths used in marketing? Give one example of how a myth is used in advertising/marketing.

There are many myths used marking and one example is Santa Clause. Santa Clause helps parents control their kids to be good. Additionally, The Santa Clause myth is to help companies make profits and then the money is used to pay employees. Another marking myth used is the Easter bunny. Previously mentioned, the Easter bunny also helps companies make money and helps parents control their kids.
