ABSTRACT

This study entitled “Diet Program Simulation” was develop through Visual Basic 2010 and other supplementary software like Microsoft access for the database. The objectives were to design the diet program simulation; develop the diet program simulation; to give an alternative solution to those people who can’t afford to go to a nutritionist or dietician for consultation; and to test and evaluate the diet program simulation. Monte Carlo Simulation is implemented in the program through generating random numbers that will pick random foods based on their calorie count and based on how many calories does the user needs.

The researchers gathered data through interview. Interview is a research instrument tool where the researchers were able to talk and ask a nutritionist to gather the necessary data’s needed for the accuracy of the information. Another research instrument tool used was the questionnaire checklist for the evaluation of the system. It was divided into four parts. The first part is for functionality where it is the method of describing on how the software functions according to its command given by the intended users; the second part is for the system’s aesthetics to evaluate the appropriateness of the design of the project to the intended users; and the third part was for its security if the system secures the user and data access.

The researchers consulted their adviser for other suggestions for the improvement of the system; improvement and correctness of the content of the evaluation questionnaires were also consulted by the proponents, letters and other writings including the manuscript were also...
