Should amnesty be granted for all illegal immigrants as in the executive order issued by the President of the United States? A plan has been presented to the government that outlines the process that would grant over 2 million illegal immigrants amnesty. This plan can be considered as a positive solution for all of undocumented immigrants in this country, but there are a number of substantial reasons for United States citizens to be in opposition of the plan. The Executive order has set the guidelines for illegal immigrants to be able to qualify for amnesty and automatic citizenship. Is this move by the current government in actuality fair to the legal immigrants that have entered this country the legal way, and may have struggled to work hard and secede in this country legally? The other side of this argument we would need to consider is if it would be fair for a child that was illegally brought here by their parents when they were a baby, especially if they have had no ties to their home country, and grown up to be a possible assets to our society.

Problem: The first thing we must take into consideration is that even though this an executive order, does it act in accordance with the existing immigration laws or does it violate these laws? Some of the things that we also have to examine is how this would affect our economy, will this executive order have an effect on the problem we already have in the midst of the scarce amount of jobs and with the increase in unemployment.
