Subject: Request for Funding

I am writing you in request for funding to attend an advance business writing class (WRTG 394), which will be held 03 September to 12 October 2012 in the Texas A & M University campus located here in San Antonio, Texas.

Advance Business Writing (WRTG 394) is described to be an upper-level business writing course. The class objective is to teach how to analyze your target audience. It also aims to teach how to develop explanations and choose the appropriate technologies to address that audience. Topics taught in this course are listed in its course description as including context, purpose, audience, style organization, format results, technologies and strategies for persuasion in typical workplace messages. The course’s main objective is to teach individuals to create documents that not only deal with business corporations at higher levels but with all workplace and professional writing situations that may arise.

As a dedicated hard working member of the Schuster Law Firm, I see an opportunity to better myself and the team as a whole. Working as the budget assistant for this firm, I did some research on possibilities of how to cut spending on medical funding through incentives. I am preparing a proposal on the research conducted, where I will be able to show how this plan can save the Schuster Law Firm in upwards of $30,000 to $60,000 a year; this course will help me articulate that proposal. This is something that I am passionate about and strongly feel that would be an asset for both me and the team.
