OBJECTIVES ENGLCOM OBJECTIVES: 1. After taking the course, the students may provide an academically accepted paper. 2. The course may help the students in their critical thinking skills. E-PORTFOLIO OBJECTIVES: 1. To showcase the transition of the students’ way of writing, from simple essays to academically accepted essays. 2. To compile the student’s work from the first day of the course to show what are the improvements the student has made while going through ENGLCOM.

ENTRY ESSAY Last 2011, President Benigno Aquino, III ordered the implementation of K+12 program on secondary school levels, it is where there will be an additional two years of high school on the secondary level and it will teach some technical courses to the students so that it can help them find a work if they cannot afford or they don’t want to pursue college. After the implementation of the said program, many universities are thinking of possible solutions to the possible problems that may arise when the effect of the K+12 program takes place. There are many effects of the K+12 program, one effect is in the year 2016, there may be less students entering the university as freshmen. One of the problems that may arise because of this effect is there may be a possible lessening of teachers in the university. According to Mr. Dante Leoncini, the Faculty Association here in De La Salle University (DLSU), the part-time teachers are the most affected in this kind of problem since part-time professors only stay here in the university according to their contract between the university.
