Executive Summary

Introduction: Question asked, “How would a Finance career benefit one’s future.” A Finance degree provides students with the professional knowledge needed to work in banking and investment management. Business is an important career in today’s job market.

Different Careers in Finance: Focused on explaining the different types of Finance jobs. These included: Stockbroker, Financial Planner, Financial Analyst, and a CFO (Certified Financial Officer). First, a Stockbroker is someone who researches information on the stock market to obtain as much knowledge as possible to pass on to his or her clients. They can also buy or sell stocks for their clients. Second, a Financial Planner helps people plan their own financial futures analyze the numbers of an individual’s account and knowing what direction to steer them in to be successful. Must know clients well on a personal level so that they become comfortable around the Financial Planner. Third, a Financial Analyst examines financial information and then decides how a particular business should invest their money. Financial Analysts do a significant amount of research on a company to discover if they’re making profit or losing profit. Last, a CFO is the top financial position that includes a significant amount of control in the company, as well as a higher salary. Studies trends and flaws of a company so that they can find opportunities for expansion and also to conclude if the company’s profit will increasingly grow or decline in the future. . CFOs prepare their presentation with a portfolio of information to share with the committee members and explain how the company is doing. A CFO is always looking to improve the company; therefore, they are constantly preaching ways to change to benefit the company. Much experience is needed to become a CFO for a company.
