Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet

Part 1

For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions.

Physical health: I always watch what I eat and exercise for the most part. I have added a lot of fruits and veggies to my diet with me being pregnant I watch what I eat. I do run the treadmill and walk the steps I consider that an activity.

Social health: keep in touch with friends all the time well we take daily sometime 3-4 times a day.

Intellectual health: learning, solving certain things. Like now I’m taking this online class so I would consider this a activity that I do because I am learning new things. I also do a lot of reading I love to read just about anything as long as its something that will catch my attention.

Environmental health: I really do not do a lot of environmental things, but you could do some recycling, I do walk some places sometimes in the summer time instead of driving.

Emotional health: expressing and controlling your emotions, such as maybe dealing with the death of someone in your family whom died, and having healthy relationships.

Spiritual health: I have a meaning and purpose in my life and I as well set goals, also I attend church on Sundays.

Part 2

In approximately 125 to 200 words, describe health and wellness in your own words using the ideas and concepts for each of the six dimensions of health.

Health and wellness to me is to me change and growth which our body experiences a lot of.
