INTRODUCTION

Cosmetics nowadays were popular among women, although even before they were already known to people, now its power has gone overboard. It was more appreciated today than way back before, because of the new discoveries and inventions that will make your face unrecognizable anymore. The author chose San San cosmetics as her field of study. She wants to broaden the unique selling point of the company in use of package designing. Unique and convenient packaging, based on the researcher’s observation and experience, has a big impact for the consumers such as useful and eco friendly packaging and so on. People now buy wisely in order to lessen their expenses. The main goal of the author is to boost the popularity and sales of the product.

BACKGROUND

The purpose of this research is to convince consumers of buying San san cosmetics. The author wanted to alter the current packaging of the product to gain more consumers and to increase its sales. The author’s view about the product’s packaging is plain and less attractive for its target market, so she came up choosing this company to help them build a design that will catch the audience’s taste. Consumers will look at each product at a very short time when they are searching a wide range of cosmetics, therefore packaging designs must attract consumers’ attention. San San Cosmetics’ target market was the middle aged women in the Philippines. The author tries to make a package design that suits their like in terms of money and quality make-ups. This study is all about how the company will gain more consumers and earn money at the same time.
