Final Paper – Human Sexuality PSYC 240

Understanding my Sexuality

Self-awareness and the art of knowing who you are is important for those entering the helping professions. Human sexuality is an “untouchable” and uncomfortable area for some people to openly discuss and yet as we have seen through this course, problems with sexuality can have long-lasting debilitating repercussions.

This paper is to enable you to look at your sexuality and the development of your sexual values. The list of questions below is to enable the student to write a well-thought, specifically detailed paper. The main focus of the paper is for the student to gain an awareness of one’s sexuality, sexual development and sexual values and how those values were obtained.

The student is not obligated to include information that the student feels is too personal to include in such a paper.

Since the paper is more reflective in its design, the textbook should be the only reference material needed, if any is needed at all. Though, the more interesting paper will include references to the research material throughout the textbook. When this is done, it is necessary for the student to include in-text citations and a References page at the end of the paper.

Format: Essay form - APA style in citations and Reference page.

Typed, Double-spaced, Font size 10 or 12, 1 inch margins

Page Length: 4 to 6 pages (title page and references page not included)

You are not limited to answering any of these questions or all of these questions. Feel free to add any information in the sexuality area that would augment this paper.

To write an excellent paper, include the following details from the questions below:

· How did your parents show affection to their children? How...
