Introduction

This paper is going to highlight on the aspect of inappropriate behavior. The discussion will revolve around Marwan who has served as a character at Studio Five Theme Park. He has been portraying a swash-buckling pirate. With him is not employment contract. His seniority with the organization makes him love his job. The attention that he also gets from the guests at the park also makes him love the job more. Owing to his fame and popularity, Marwan has gone ahead to do some inappropriate acts like placing his hands on the behinds of the female guests. So far, the women he has come across have not launched any complaints, some did not seem to mind while others were so surprised that they did not know how to react. This encouraged Marwan to go to the extent of grabbing the breast of one of the female actors who had been hired recently. The actor threatened to report him but he warned the actor that she would be fired. The following questions are therefore, going to be answered based on this scenario (Achampong, 1999).

1. What civil rights laws may prohibit Marwan’s conduct with his fellow co-worker? Do those laws apply to his conduct toward the park guest? Explain both answers.

There are some civil rights that are against the conduct of Marwan with his fellow actors. For instance, according to Title VII of the civil rights Act, employees are prohibited from sexual harassment. In this case, one might be charged in court for criminal offence. Marwan violated the rights of his fellow employee by touching breast, an act which amounts to sexual harassment. This can make him be charged in court. In addition, Title VII of civil rights Act of 1964 advocates against the act of discriminating the employees based on sex. According to this act, sexual harassment is prohibited by law.
