The Big Bang Theory Research paper

The birth of our universe is arguably the greatest mystery of our time. What happened to cause oblivious space to go from nothing to our universe today, this is the big bang theory (Big Bang 2). The theory is interpreted differently throughout the science and physics world and there are still plentiful amounts of information needed to solve this great speculation (Big Bang 1). Different theories, misconceptions, and discoveries are what makes the Big Bang Theory the greatest science phenomenon of our time, let us take a closer look at what the Big Bang theory contains that other scientific mysteries do not.

According to a standard theory, our universe, 13.7 billion years ago, came to be as a singularity. Singularities are zones that exist at the bottom of black holes, and black holes are places in space with intense gravitational pressure (Bennett 4). Where or why it appeared, scientist and physicists have still yet been able to answer this underlying question. After this singularity appeared, it expanded into the “Big Bang”, it went from temperatures scorching hot, to the temperature and size of our universe today (Big Bang 3). Still expanding to this day; there is no set date when it will stop. Edwin Hubble is the first person to discover that our universe is still expanding. He found that galaxies outside of ours were moving away from us, which meant that all galaxies had to start a designated point (Bennett 6). Another scientist who greatly contributed to this theory is Albert Einstein. His theory of relativity states that at a point in time, all galaxies were so close together that they created a massive fire ball, hotter than 15 million degrees Kelvin. This theory is considered to be the most accurate theory about the “big bang” (Bennett 5).

Two problems that appear in the big bang theory are inflation and dark energy. A puzzling problem that arose with scientist was,...
