Call for applications for the Harvard Project on Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) Asia 2013

in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (August 17 – 26, 2013) including a Preparation Seminar in Berlin, Germany (July 26 – 28, 2013) and a Closing Seminar in Berlin, Germany (September 20 – 22, 2013) Who are we and what do we want to achieve? We, The European Delegation, are a group of ambitious young professionals and advanced students determined to bolster Europe’s role in Asia and to increase the knowledge of Asia among Europe’s future leaders. We aim to bring a European voice into the transpacific dialogue. At the same time, we seek to create trust between young leaders in Europe and Asia, preparing the young generation to tackle present and future global challenges. We want to make Europe and Asia partners in the world economy, and trusted allies in global politics, who are connected through shared values, interests, respect, and understanding. The European Delegation shall consist of a group of highly qualified individuals from various disciplines, professions, and countries within Europe. This unique group of motivated Europeans shall participate at a Preparation Seminar in Berlin (July 26 – 28, 2013), the Harvard Project on Asian and International Relations (HPAIR) Asia conference in Dubai (Aug. 22 – 26, 2013), a Supporting Program in Dubai before the actual HPAIR Asia 2013 conference (Aug. 17 – 21, 2013) and a Closing Seminar with a public discussion session in Berlin (Sept. 20 – 22, 2013). The organization team of The European Delegation participated as the first ‘European Delegation’ at HPAIR 2012 in Taipei and will select this year’s Delegates. The Delegates are expected to actively participate in the preparation of all parts of the program.
