TMA-01

The tenacity of this assignment is to compare and difference the social life of City Road with a local road to reveal how order is made and is continually repaired over time.

Inequality is a major influence in people’s everyday lives. The lack of values affect the way people are brought up and how they act to situations. Social Inequalities explores how groups of individuals in society do not have any equal rights such as social class and status. Some social inequalities include voting rights, health care, education, transporting from place to place, affording good housing, even being able to speak your mind and many other services. Along with that this can affect people and families in their local neighbourhood life. People in neighbourhoods can have much better occupations, have more access to financial help such as credit and loans and have better opportunities in better well-paid jobs. In a close neighbourhood this can cause social inequality amongst fellow neighbours. On every road and street all over England inequalities can be found. They can be seen in many forms on the streets. Between wealthier and poorer, younger and elder etc.

Chapel Road is the heart of Worthing. It surely has changed a lot over the past 50 years. Today, you will find fewer individually owned shops and many more big name high street shops, such as Tesco Express, Store Twenty One, H&M and Top Shop. It has a multi-cultural background, there are people from Africa, Europe, Asia as well as British.
