Chapter III

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This chapter presented the research processes and methodologies used in conducting the study. This included the research design and method used in developing software. Furthermore, this chapter also contains the software evaluation plan and statistical treatment used in developing the software.

Research Design

The proponents used the descriptive method of research which provides an accurate and valid representation of the factors or variables that relevant to research questionnaire explains and describes the benefits that would be acquired from the proposed system. The survey served as the tool to determine the needs of the proposed system.

Method Used in Developing the System

Figure 3.0 Rapid Application Development Model (RAD)

The study presents a research in developing an ID Control System with Scheduling using Quick Response (QR) code as a tedious task since series of test and revision are needed for it to become functional, correct and efficient. In order to have a successful project, the proponents believe the following a Rapid Application Development in implementing the project is a wise and helpful decision. A Rapid Application Development helps in planning, implementing and managing the development of a system. RAD is an incremental software development process model that emphasizes an extremely short development cycle (anywhere from 60 – 90 days). Its higher speed adaptation of machine-readable optical label in which rapid development is achieved by using component based construction. The proponents used RAD because it reduces the development time and reusability of components which helps to speed up development. All functions are modularized so it is easy to work with.

Method Used in Evaluating the System

The proponents conducted a survey as part of evaluating the system. In evaluating the system the proponents test capability of the system and determine if it meets its required results. It aims to ensure...
