Power Distance

Power Distancer-distance culture with the score 26. This indicates the equality of the people regardless of their position and status in Germany.

In German society, people’s roles are very important, not power and money. German people expect to be a part of the decision rather than merely following orders. In businesses, being a boss does not mean having the higher role than others which indicates he is the one in the position to plan and control the regularity in company. German managers and employees are often close, because they believe that they are working together could create a good result or product. In the organization, range of salaries from the top to the bottom are only narrowly different.

Uncertainty Avoidance

The uncertainty avoidance dimension shows the extent to which people in society feel risky by unpredictable situations. Germany is barely among the uncertainty avoidant countries (55); the score is on the high end of intermediate, so there is a slight preference for uncertainty avoidance. It indicates that German people do not really tolerance for the changes and ambiguous situation. They prefer structure and well organized, and this emphasizgulations. They want to reduce its risks to the minimum and proceed with changes step by step.
