This paper will cover the new recently established Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights, TX. It contains services such as surgical center for same day surgery, heart and vascular center, a sleep center, a women’s center, diagnostic and physician’s office and so much more all in one central location. The new top notch state of the art facility opened June 2012.

The state of the art medical center was built to provide services to approximately 100,000 people in the Central Texas area and is a joint venture between the Austin based Seton Healthcare family and the Plano based LHP Hospital Group Inc. (Seton Medical, 2013) The goal for the facility is to serve every patient that comes to the facility with dignity and the upmost respect and give them the best care possible. They also want to also focus on special attention to the care and needs to the financially challenged and vulnerable. The services rendered here will be to infants, children, adults and to the senior citizens in the area. The families will have the ability to make a single appointment if needed for the entire family instead of having to schedule multiple appointments which can cost lots of money and take a lot of time. This will elevate the constant time off request for work, cut back on gas cost for making multiple trips, and the option to set an appointment for one well-being visit per year. Seton has also established classes that they provide for healthcare providers, community classes and even special events like blood drives. This month they are focuses on CPR/AED and pediatric cpr classes that are available and for those seeking there BLS, ACLS, and PALS these classes are provided every month. Seton will take role as leader in our community to help other providers in with their expertise which will show as a true benefit to the residents in the area.
