Abstract

Berkshire Hathaway Inc. is a multinational holding company that uses paid premiums provided by Berkshire Hathaway Insurance to finance their ventures. Lead by CEO Warren Buffett, Berkshire Hathaway has become the leader in market.

Berkshire Hathaway subsidiaries include: GEICO, Pampered Chef, H.J. Heinz Company, United States Liability Insurance Group, etc. Berkshire Hathaway also has significant minority holdings in American Express, Anheuser-Busch, M&T Bank, Coca-Cola and Proctor Gamble to name a few.

Buffett’s belief that investing in well managed, but undervalued companies has made Berkshire Hathaway the world’s most successful holding company. His belief in value investing goes well beyond what the market is or is not doing, nor is he concerned with supply and demand.

Berkshire Hathaway’s financial statics will show that Buffett’s style of investing not only works, but has made the company the largest holding company in the world. Although Warren Buffett’s compensation says does not reflect the amount of money Berkshire Hathaway has made off his investments, it does show the character of the man that made the company what it is today.
