Article: Griffin, A. (2013, September 1). Unconditional love: Molalla mother aches for her murderer son. The Oregonian.

Summary of Article: Kari Hartman, mother of accused 17 year old murderer tells her story on the difficulties of her son and how he is wrongfully tried as an adult although he is not legally an adult.

Scripture: Exodus 23:2 (NIV) Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give testimony in a lawsuit, do not pervert justice by siding with the crowd.

Hosea 2:19 (NIV) I will betroth you to me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion.

Reflection/prayer: God, there are many stories of under age children being tried as adults. I am confused and do not know my opinion on whether this should be the case or not. I pray for Mrs. Hartman and her son because I know what it is like to have someone incarcerated. Guide the courts in the right direction with his sentencing.

Scripture: Psalm 9:16 (NIV) The LORD is known by his acts of justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.

Reflection/Prayer: I pray that these victims' confidentiality will not be open to the public, because they are already being looked at differently. God, protect them and change the minds of the people who want to expose their sensitive situations.
