Autobiography

Hello, my name is Abby Rogers and I am 25. My birthday is October 31st Halloween, which always has been fun. I live in Commerce, Georgia. I married my high school sweetheart in 2008. We have a dog and a cat, but no children. Here in Georgia I run my own business out of my home. I have an In-Home Family Daycare where I supervise six children per day from the ages of eight months to four years. I really enjoy what I do, although some days it can be stressful. I graduated from high school in 2003 and attended Gainesville State College where is received my Associate Degree in December 2009. I have been out of college for almost a year, but I am very excited about getting back into the swing of things. Some of my hobbies are scrapbooking, fishing, reading, and shopping. I see myself as a very organized and outgoing person. I love hanging out with friends and entertaining in my home. Although I stay very busy, I love my life at this stage.

Again I say, I am very excited to be attending University of Phoenix. Although I like what I do, there are so many other benefits to working in a school system. I believe I would make a great teacher because I am organized, patient, and very creative. I love working with children and I want to pass my greater knowledge and advice to younger generations. I believe I would be a positive roll model for children who do not have one a home. I had several amazing teachers growing up and now I want to give what I learned from them, back to the community. Teachers change lives and make a difference and I want to be part of that. Children fascinate me and who knows what they will say, so therefore being a teacher is never boring. I really do believe I have the characteristic it takes to become a teacher and I am very excited about traveling down the road to become one.
