Mrs. Constien,

I was given an opportunity to experience something that most students in high school aren’t able to experience relative to their career choice. The choices that they pick for their career, many times, end up changing because they soon realize that path is not worth pursuing. Being a veterinarian has been something I have always wanted to do. This past summer I was given an opportunity to work alongside two highly qualified veterinarians in the carol steam area to observe their techniques with the animals in their office. In addition, Dr. Elise explained in detail what was required to achieve the necessary degrees, the many years of hard work, the expense that I would have to endure to become a veterinarian, but much more, the pleasure I would get from working with and helping animals.

I believe that graduating early can give me the opportunity to take more rigorous college courses right away. Since I already know what career I’m going to pursue, enrolling in college ahead of class schedule could be a good way to become specialized in my studies more quickly than normal. The responsibility of taking on more classes this year to complete my requirements is good preparation for the increased workload I will encounter in college.

Moreover, the reasons for me graduating early do not involve a “break” from school for I will be going straight to College of DuPage. Once I graduate from high school I have 8-9 years ahead of me until I can obtain my degree. I believe it is best to start college early to start my career more quickly. Although I understand I will not be receiving the full experience of high school, I trust that I will be able to succeed in my future classes and in my overall career. Who knows? Maybe one day I will be taking care of your pet.

Thank you.
