Under the fierce market competition, organizations need to discover the resources superiority which is contained in each of employees in order to maintain their core competencies. Employee participation and involvement schemes offer many different methods for company to improve the performance. Different company is fit in different method. It is obvious that what is important for organizational performance is not the incidence of particular employee participation schemes but how these schemes are combined (Levine and Tyson, 1990; MacDuffe, 1995; Fitzroy and Kraft, 1995). McNabb (1998) and Whitfield (1998) agreed this opinion, and also stated that the growing integration of each of employees participation and involvement scheme have a significantly bigger impact on performance than just the sum of their individual contributions, which may be unrelated or negatively to the specific performance. When companies implement employee involvement and participation plans, they should attempt to integrate the schemes together in order to efficiently improve the employee’s contribution (Anonymous, 2009). However, due to many different reasons such as the dynamics environment, culture and quality of employees that there are still problems occurred when using the schemes to affecting on the company’s performance. This essay will firstly explain some important factors within employee participation and a simple introduction about different methods.
