BJB Quality Management Initiative Proposal

BJB manufacturing currently does not have a quality program. The company manufactures high-end compact disc changers for the automobile aftermarket. The company needs a strategy that will improve business performance with the commitment and involvement of employees to satisfy the customer’s requirements, at the best cost, with continual improvement of products and services. The president of the company wants to establish and maintain a competitive edge in the disc changer industry over its competitor by creating a total quality management program.

Within this paper the members of team B will determine the needs that the stakeholders may have for the company’s product. The members of team B will also analyze the product and needs of BJB, and select a quality management approach that would fit the company best, while explaining his or her rationale. The members will further describe the role of leadership in planning, developing, and implementing a quality process in BJB.

Needs of the Stakeholders for BJB Products

Each need that a stakeholder may have for the company’s products may differ from one stakeholder to another and no stakeholder will the same interest or expectations; internal stakeholder’s interest and expectation will also be different.

The president of BJB Manufacturing Company is an internal stakeholder; one of his needs for BJB is to become the leader in the whole industrial market that produces high-end CD changer for the new car and aftermarket segments (University of Phoenix, 2012). The leadership management of BJB is another internal stakeholder; whose needs concentrate on the quality requirements of the new car manufacturers. Leadership management must be aware of all quality requirements to ensure a high standard performing product (University of Phoenix, 2012).
