Malaysia is a multiracial and multicultural country. There are three major races in the country such as Malays, Chinese, Indian, Eurasians and Bumiputera. Ethnic and cultural diversity is revealed in the wide different languages spoken and religions belief in Malaysia. Malaysia is an Islamic country. Malays speak Malaya which is the national language, Indians usually speak Tamil as their mother tongue, and Chinese speak a variety of dialects such as Hokkien, Teow Chew, Cantonese and Hakka. Malays population show approximately 50%, about 30% of the population are Chinese, 8% is Indians, and the remaining are other native tribes. Melanau, Kadazan, Orang Ulu ,Duzun ,and so on. In Malaysia, there are different ethnic that are differentiated by culture, language, religion, history, tradition and ancestry. As Malaysia have a different ethnics that makes them celebrate various of religious and cultural festival such as Hari Raya Aidilfitri , Deepavali ,Chinese New Year , and Gawai Day. In term of dressing, most Malaysian wears western clothes regardless of their races. Despite of, during different occasion and festival, they will wear the traditional costumes e.g. wedding ceremony. For Malay women, they are wearing baju kurung and men wearing baju melayu with songkok on his head Moreover, Chinese women are wearing cheongsam or “qipao”. Indians women are wearing saree and kurta is the traditional outfit for men on formal occasions. Malaysia have various natural resources such as mineral, agriculture and forestry. Furthermore, Malaysia is one of the exporter countries. Malaysia is the main exporter of palm oil and natural rubber as well as tobacco and pepper.

Malaysia is a liberal and open society country, they have different way of greeting which is different with other country. Greeting by hugging and kissing is not generally use in Malaysia.
