The Walt Disney Company first known as the Disney Brothers Studio open on October 16, 1923. "The Walt Disney Company is a leading diversified international family entertainment and media enterprise" that grossed $00000000, in profit in 2013, and $0000000 in profit in 2014. The success of The Walt Disney Company can be contributed to its tremendous creativity, flexibility, and commitment to its customers, consumers, shareholders, and finally its employees. Another aspect of the Disney Company's success is their commitment to conducting business with the highest standards of business ethics through complying with all" The Walt Disney Company places a great emphasis on being a good corporate citizen. In the 2012 letter to shareholders Disney stated "We believe that acting responsible is an integral part of our brand, and are committed to being a good corporate citizen around the world" (The Walt Disney Company, 2012). The Disney Citizenship Performance Summary of 2012 outlines the company's strategy to become a better corporate citizen. The report contains five subsections under Performance. The sections are Community Engagement, Responsible Content, Environmental Stewardship, Ethical Conduct, and Respectful Workplaces. Disney goal is to create positive change in the community, and to strengthen those communities. Disney engages the community through donations, and their Disney VoluntEARS. Disney collaborates with local organizations and lends its support to creativity programs. The report states that Disney "…Leverage our core assets and competencies to help children in need… Use the power of entertainment to promote giving" (The Walt Disney Company, 2012).

I reviewed The Walt Disney Company Standards of Business Conduct 2012. It states the code applies to all Cast Members, and employee as well as any one acting on behalf of the company. The standards read as follows (The Walt Disney Company, 2012):
