Summary of Topics The revisions dated May 24, 2004 are being issued to incorporate the following revisions: 1. Revisions to specify that sheet-metal screws shall not be used for grounding and addition of the option of using a grounding symbol. 2. Revisions to provide for use of additional cord types with oil-resistant insulation and jackets. 3. Revisions to specify that appliances intended for new installations, mobile homes, recreational vehicles, and areas where local codes prohibit grounding through the neutral conductor are to be provided with a dedicated grounding conductor. 4. Revisions to delete requirements providing for indoor venting of the exhaust of clothes dryers. 5. Revision of the marking requirements to indicate that the exhaust of clothes dryers must be connected to an exhaust to the outdoors.
