Cement rotary kilns are used for the pyroprocessing stage of manufacture of Portland and other types of hydraulic cement, in which calcium carbonate reacts with silica-bearing minerals to form a mixture of calcium silicates. Over a billion tonnes of cement are made per year, and cement kilns are the heart of this production process: their capacity usually define the capacity of the cement plant. As the main energy-consuming and greenhouse-gas–emitting stage of cement manufacture, improvement of kiln efficiency has been the central concern of cement manufacturing technology.

Through many years of experience, rotary kiln technology department summarize some reasons: axial force of riding wheel oversize; oil selection is improper, oil viscosity is not enough; rotating drying kiln body local high temperature radiation bearing reduce lubricating oil viscosity, oil film becomes thin; radial force of riding wheel oversize, resulting in increasing the friction between axle and bearing bush, oil film may breakdown; in the bearings, cooling water interrupt for a long time, resulting in temperature increment, breaking the oil viscosity; in the bearings, lubrication device break down or points tank clog to make oil level low; the rotary calcining kiln operates slowly for a long time, reducing oil spoon with oil, and can’t meet the lubrication requirements between axle and tile; in winter and low temperature, lubricating oil viscosity is on the high side in the bearings, bad liquidity, showing lack of oil state.

Because the temperature of the exhaust gas discharged from the wet process rotary kiln is relatively high, can not choose a dust collection rate and cheap dust collector like bag-style dust collector, and its cost is quite high. Not only the cost of production is relatively high, and have a lot of pollution on the environment. Therefore, many domestic and foreign manufacturers do technology improvements for these rotary kilns.
