Abstract 1

Culture and Marriage Equality

Modern time’s marriage needs to be considered in modern social concepts. This includes interracial marriages, as well as same sex marriages. Unfortunately a number of therapeutic marriage counselors believe these unions still should not be made (Celello, 2010). Interracial marriages are considered not too be able to we stand long term commitment. Same sex marriages should not be allowed as most states many states do not except same-sex marriages the divorce is out of the question (Celello, 2010). If a couple is not legally married within state they cannot legally obtain a divorce within that state as well. It is also apparent that when considering an interracial marriage or inter religion that the woman will be the weakest link and should the marriage need to be stopped to do so would be too explain to the woman the risks proposed by this marriage what she will be giving up, as well as the life she will live within society (Celello, 2010).

Mars-Venus marriages: Culture and cross-border

Marriage does not necessarily entail a man and a woman or same-sex partnership. Marriage also exists within the corporate world. Mergers and apprehensions are also marriages between companies. Culture plays a large role within these marriages as well. There are many advantages for internationalization of companies, cross-border acquisitions. Practitioners admit that culture plays a large role in determining the long-term success of an M&A deal (Jayaraman, Gupta-mukherjee, & Chakrabarti, 2009). Cultural differences may even enhance the potential synergies of a merger, particularly through capability transfer, resource sharing as well as learning, but only at the cost of increased integration challenges (Jayaraman, Gupta-mukherjee, & Chakrabarti, 2009).
