The Day That Changed it All

Alright, so here’s to the day that I learned that when it comes to your “gut feelings” you should always stick to them because almost 100% of the time they’re right! It was my sophomore year of high school during soccer season. We had a game that day against a team that we were suppose to completely crush. We were the home team, giving us home field advantage along with the confidence from our fans cheering us on. We were playing Adrian that day and we knew the game would go down in the books as a win. All we had to do was show up and play.

I was so relieved to hear this since I also don’t believe in practicing against a team that is clearly way beneath the skill level that your team has. It is truly pointless.

So the game goes on and we’re up by 7 with about 10 minutes left in the half. I had been subbed to give other...
