About Gurubhakti Traders

Gurubhakti Traders are wholesale and retail dealers, in construction rods and TMT (Thermo Mechanically Treated) rods. Mr. Santosh Sawant established Gurubhakti traders in early 1990’s. Mr. Santosh started of his business career, with his brothers in his family business of travel and transport. After separating from the same, he deals in his current business of wholesale and retail dealing of construction and TMT rods, and has been a proficient for more than a decade.

Location

Gurubhakti Traders is located near the Mapusa Bus Stand opposite to the main circle. The facility has a well furnished office and adjacent to which is a godown with a 300 ton storage capacity. His inventory consists of rods varying from 6mm up to 20mm. in accordance to the information provided to us, there is no fixed proportion for individual quantities of different rods and they are stocked in random quantities (usually 50 tons of each diameter for diameters above 6mm).

Personnel

Fixed Employees consist of a Salesman and a Store Manager cum accountant. In addition to the structure are four laborers who are employed for loading and unloading of goods, who are employed on daily basis

Customer Base

He has two types of customers. The first type which consists of the floating type of customer i.e. people who are involved in construction of one time projects like for instance that of building a new house or extending their houses and so on. These customers come from all over north Goa even from places as far as Mopa.These orders are loaded from the godown.

The second types of customers are those who are permanent in nature. They consist of contractors and builders. These customers often order in bulk and their orders vary depending on the size of the project (usually 300-350 tons). These orders are supplied to the site directly from the manufacturer (but are billed by Gurubhakti Traders).
