Synergetic Solutions – Strategic Reorganization

Currently our organization is functioning with $6 million in revenue, 20% of that to the credit of networking. We have recently closed a network design deal for $1.2 million and we have $5 million in orders on the books. Organizational change is paramount for the future of our organization. To define the change our CEO, Mr. Redd has tasked me to turn Synergetic Solutions around over the next nine (9) months and structure us into a network design hothouse. In order to accomplish the task, the following targets have been set for the next quarter:

1. Increase revenue to $7.5 million

2. Increase networking portion of revenues to 35%

3. Increase productivity growth to 4$

4. Reduce absenteeism to 2%

To accomplish the above, we must:

1. Plan and define the transition in terms of volume of business from each line of business, budgets, and people

2. Define work flow and processes to introduce a team-based structure

3. Define employee competency development plans based on industry standards

4. Evaluate automation tools and technologies to enable and improve teamwork

5. Identify and/or redefine job roles of employees, and upgrade their skill set for networking solutions.

I ask for your cooperation, knowledge and expertise as we, as a team, establish our action plan for the next quarter.

As we begin our journey, it is important for us to identify internal and external forces of change that will impact our decisions. First there is the external force of technology. It is our goal to embrace more tightly the area of computer networking. Networking is reshaping industries and we want to be the organization they come to to establish their networking platforms.
