Report This Essay

Thirdly Bodin was likely to be in trouble if the final report was going to present to every manager. The truth in the sales department should be known by all of the other divisions though the sales division would be put in an embarrassing situation. Furthermore, Bodin himself need to be kept away from troubles. Bodin had taken a personal risk in sharing the information with others and if Emile Bodin was in any hurt or compromised by this turn of events, it would be Bacon’s responsibility.

Lastly, the company’s current problem of recent losses in almost every product line had not been solved. Bacon needed to keep it in mind that the purpose of forming the task force and all the time and effort spent was to find out the cause of the problem and figure out an appropriate process to overcome the problem. Bacon needed to push this forward in the afternoon meeting.

Bacon could have done something to create a more effective task force. He could take control of the morning meeting to keep everyone cool off. He could use some organizational strategy to conduct those managers coming up with their opinion and meaningful suggestions. He could try to persuade those managers to take the recommendations from the report the task force prepared. He could give Meir some positive support in the morning meeting to present his research results. He could share Bodin’s information to other people in the meeting but keep him away from troubles. He could create some clear procedures to find out the problem causing the down slope.

If I were Bacon, I would firstly keep the meeting going smoothly and under control in the afternoon. The meeting was very important, because it is the chance to have all the groups communicated and integrated powers from divisions to find out the problems and roll on the way of extricating the company from a plight.
