Who Am I? Why Am I Here

Psalms 27:1. The Lord is my light and salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, whom shall I be afraid? My name is Tevin Harris. My first light to the world appeared September 26, 1994 in Macon, Georgia. The youngest of an older brother and sister I’ve always had positive influences. My mother being a single parent worked very hard to assure that we had everything that I ever wanted and needed. I’ve played sports my entire life. Starting at a young age playing baseball was the family sport. The time had come for my brother’s game and his bat had come up missing. We as a family went looking for my brother’s bat. I notice two younger boys with it swinging it, so I take off running towards them. The boys still swinging the bat as if it was warn ups I run right into the bat, which knocks me off my feet from the impact to my mouth left me with the insecurity that I still have had for fifteen years now. For those who always asked why I don’t smile, Seeing pictures as I matured made me feel as if the shine of my smile had been taken. The injury never stopped me from being the person that I am and plan to be. In high school I played football and baseball with all intentions on starting. Linebacker was my position in football, first and third base in the diamond. Our football team was top of the line with many athletes. I played three varsity games on the field. Baseballs being my strongest sport lead me to starting in all twenty-six games with three homeruns and a shutout game. Our baseball team wasn’t as good as our football team the records would show for it. Baseball, being my first love lead me to attract all my training and hard work to her. With the hard work it leads me to tying in with my close friend for rookie of the year. The coaches couldn’t decide from our work ethic. Throughout my three years left of high school I was blessed to be moved up...
