Riordan Manufacturing is a global plastics manufacturer employing 550 people with projected annual earnings of $46 million. Owned by Riordan Industries, a Fortune 1000 enterprise with revenues in excess of $1 billion. Products include plastic beverage containers produced at its plant in Albany, Georgia, custom plastic parts produced at its plant in Pontiac, Michigan, and plastic fan parts produced at its facilities in Hangzhou, China. The company's research and development is done at the corporate headquarters in San Jose. Riordan's major customers are automotive parts manufacturers, aircraft manufacturers, the Department of Defense, beverage makers and bottlers, and appliance manufacturers. In order to remain a key industry leader Riordan must adhere to and incorporate internal and external compliance regulations. This Corporate Compliance Plan has been developed to protect clients from abuse and to prevent fraud within the agency; and assist with managing the legal liability of the officers and directors of Riordan. Also, this plan will address how to handle situations when laws are violated or in question to include enterprise liability, real and intellectual property, governance principles or regulatory compliance requirements and specific international laws or aspects of the law that must be adhered to by Riordan and its employees.

In accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, the law extends the long-standing requirement for public companies to maintain systems of internal control, requiring management to certify and the independent auditor to attest to the effectiveness of those systems. Internal Control-Integrated Framework, which continues to stand the test of times, serves as the broadly accepted standard for satisfying those reporting requirements.
