The Master of Business Administration is considered as good building block to become a successful manager. The MBA can give individual new carrier choices, advancement in existing carrier, achieve entrepreneurship or personal goals. Duros (2007) states, “Businesses today are looking for a few good leaders. And they are hoping to find them in the ranks of tomorrow’s MBAs.” Many universities in the United States of America offer the MBA program full time, part-time and online. Recently, I decided to join Master of Business Administration online program offered by University of Phoenix. At this juncture in my carrier; I am sure this is the right decision.

Reasons to join the MBA

The Master of Business Administration will help me to progress in my carrier and go up the ladder in my organization.

Leadership

As world is continuously changing and if one thing that

is valued by today’s employers, that is capacity to provide

insightful leadership (Duros, 2007).Good leadership skills

quickly distinguish the stars.

I am a network planning manager at one of the top

cellular service provider company in the United States. My goal is to join senior leadership team. When I looked at the MBA syllabus and course matrix, I was encouraged that I took

right decision. The MBA offers Management, Leadership and

Business Economics courses. These courses will help me to

become successful leader. Sinkler (2007) states,

I saw results . . . in less than two weeks after graduation. Upon completion my MBA degree, I was promoted from a first-line manager to the Associate Director of Technology in AT&T Network Planning and Engineering Division . . . . . I now have options that I have never had before that are only possible through education.

Cross functional Adaptability

My job function in current planning department includes
