Problem:
Unutilized wasted raw materials / Scarcity of fish meal plant
Proposal:
Joint venture with a fishmeal corporation that takes care of the fish entrails or waste by processing them into fish meal and fish oil, which are used in other industries.
Benefits of joint venture:
a. Higher yield fish meal product --- the close proximity between the fish meal plant and
canned sardine manufacturing facility eliminates the
extra handling and transport wastage.
b.. less manpower --- the integration of the two plants can eliminate job duplication by
using the same manpower to effect two different kinds of
product manufacture.
c.. less initial investment --- the integration of fish meal plant into the manufacturing facility
of canned sardine saves the investors from burdening themselves
with initial cost of erecting civil structure for such purpose in
an individual location.
d.. Higher quality product assured --- since the recoverable production waste is
immediately processed into by products such as fish
meal, this eliminates any further deterioration of the
raw wastes quality when it is to be delivered to an
individual fish meal plant located elsewhere.
